Iris, twelve years old, inherits the lighthouse of her missing grandmother in Low Tide Hollow, a fishing village swallowed by a fog that brings creatures at night. After dark she defends the coast with light. When the sun comes up, she rebuilds the village and pieces together what happened to Grandma Ondina.
